Geothermal Drilling
Geothermal drilling involves creating boreholes deep into the earth to access the stable temperatures underground. These boreholes are essential for installing geothermal systems, which use the Earth's natural heat to provide heating and cooling. Once installed groundloops are covered and you can use your yard area for normal recreation or gardening.
Geothermal Installation
Geothermal installation involves setting up the necessary equipment and systems to utilize geothermal energy for heating and cooling. This includes the installation of heat pumps, pipes, and other components that make up a geothermal system. Geothermal heat pumps are self contained with no noisy outdoor condensor as with air conditioners and air source heat pumps.
Why Choose Us?
Why Choose Us?
State-of-the-Art Equipment
Earth Power installs modern, efficient geothermal systems from trusted brands. We are licensed and certified by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association, Illinois Department of Public Health, and Illinois Commerce Commission.
We work on small Chicago lots
Typical Chicago lots are 25 or 30' wide and cannot be accessed by traditional drill rigs unless the house, garage or both are knocked down. Earth Power's drilling systems can roll through a garden gate as little as 32" wide.
Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability is central to geothermal energy projects. By harnessing the Earth's natural heat, geothermal systems reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fossil fuel dependence, protecting the environment and promoting a sustainable future.
Keeping Costs Low
We are certified by the ICC for Comed's Geothermal Program rebates and provide documentation for a 30% tax credit. We are also registered with Carbon Solutions Group, to offer Geothermal Renewable Energy Credits. The credits and rebates can reduce installation costs by thousands of dollars.
